Usage Rule Profiles

Usage rule profiles enable you to configure NAGRA's Security Services Platform (SSP). You can create usage rule IDs which you can map to technical channels automatically at ingest time using rules. To apply a usage rule profile to a channel, see Adding Technical channels.

Enabling and disabling usage rule profiles

On the Feature Configuration tab, you can enable and disable the usage rule profiles feature at Platform level. 

Configuring profile IDs

Adding and removing profiles

To add or remove a profile:

  1. On the Profile ID Configuration tab:
    • To add a profile to the Profile ID list, click ADD FIELD and enter a name for the profile. The new profile will be added to the list of default profile IDs and profile ID mappings.
    • To remove a profile, click the relevant Remove  icon.  The profile will be removed from the list of default profile IDs and profile ID mappings.
  2. Click the SAVE CHANGES button; a confirmation message will be displayed, click the CONTINUE button.

Setting a default profile ID

To set or change the default profile ID:

  1. On the Profile ID Configuration tab, select the required profile from the dropdown list.
  2. Click the SAVE CHANGES button; a confirmation message will be displayed, click the CONTINUE button.

Mapping profile IDs

Profiles created on the Profile ID Configuration tab are automatically added to the Profile ID Mapping tab.

To map a profile ID:

  1. On to the Profile ID Mapping tab:
    • To map a profile to the Profile ID, click ADD MAPPING and enter a name for the profile.
    • To remove a mapping, click the relevant Remove icon.
  2. Click the SAVE CHANGES button; a confirmation message will be displayed, click the CONTINUE button.
