Create a segment targeting experiment
To create a segment targeting experiment:
On the Rails Builder dropdown menu, click Segment Targeting.
Click Create Segment Targeting Experiment.
Complete the following fields:

Name | Enter a name for the experiment. | |
Description | Add a description of the experiment. | |
Segments | Find and select the audience segments that you want to include in the experiment. | You can select multiple segments. Users belonging to the selected segments are eligible for the segment targeting experiment (subject to any minimum age requirements). |
Show only assigned segments | Check this box to only show assigned segments. | Users are automatically assigned to segments based on their viewing habits. |
Group Allocation | Use the slider to define the percentage of users in Group A vs Group B. | Used to adjust the weighting of each group in the experiment. |
Minimum Age | Enter a minimum age for users included in the experiment, if required. | Users above this age are eligible for the segment targeting experiment. |
Device Types | Select the device types that are eligible for the experiment, if required. | |
Start Date | Select a start date for the experiment. | |
End Date | Select an end date for the experiment. |
When you have finished, click Save. Your new experiment will be added to the Segment Targeting Experiments tab.
Before you can start to use your new segment targeting experiment, you must assign the relevant rails to it. See Assign rails to an experiment.
