Add multiple rails based on channels

To add multiple rails, based on channels:

  1. On the Rails Builder home page, select the required template in the Templates panel (left).

  2. Click the required layout.

  3. In the Tools panel, click Add Multiple Rails.

  4. Under Name, enter a name for the rails. To insert the name of the content into the rail name, use the syntax {{contentName}}. Otherwise, the content name will be appended to the rail name.

  5. Under Default Rail Image Orientation, select the required default rail image orientation: Landscape or Portrait.

  6. Under Rail Type, choose Based on Channels.

  7. Under Number of Events, set the required number. Note that this number can be changed later by editing the channel properties.

  8. Under Channel Selection, choose either Most Popular Channels or Select Channels.

  9. If you chose Most Popular Channels:

    1. Set the required number of rails.

    2. Set the required number of events.

  10. If you chose Select Channels:

    1. Set the required number of events.

    2. Select the required channels from the list by using the + button. The number of channels you select determines the number of rails that will be created.

  11. Click Create Multiple Rails.

  12. In the confirmation dialog, click Create Multiple Rails to save the rails. The rails will not be publicly visible until the layout is set as default or currently active.
