Configuring metadata purge
This section explains how to configure metadata purge. The configurations are created automatically, but you can view and change the configurations using CPM APIs.
There can be a separate configuration for each entity/scope combination, where:
- Entity is one of:
- Event
- Content publishing window
- Technical content
- Editorial Content
- Transactional product
- Scope is one of :
- Live
- VOD
Each configuration specifies:
- A limit – the maximum number of items that can be purged in one purge operation. (This allows you to minimise load by breaking up each purge operation into smaller chunks.)
- A retention period – the number of days that an item is retained after it expires before it can be purged.
- An exclude list – a list of IDs of items that are not to be purged.
You can only make changes to the retention period for each entity. To make changes to the limits or the exclude lists, please contact NAGRA.
