Reports

This section contains detailed descriptions of the reports that can be generated from the OpenTV Platform.

The reports are generated using BIRT. BIRT is an Eclipse-based open source reporting system for web applications. A BIRT design file (.rptdesign) is supplied for each report type. Operators can optionally edit these files to their own requirements. Reports can also be produced in .csv format, which can be useful where the extracted data is input into another tool for processing.

Each report also uses data extraction files (.ktr). The relevant files are also supplied for each report type. The editing of these files is not recommended.
